Crisis Intervention Screener

We are currently looking for qualified candidates to fill a Crisis Intervention Screener position.  This position is responsible for providing emergency mental health services, crisis intervention, mental health assessments, and offers information and referral assistance to individuals within the service area.  This position is responsive to the needs of clients, families, referral sources, and others in the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Answer all calls and aide callers in determining their needs.

  • Respond, as necessary and trained, to effectively de-escalate callers who are at risk of harming themselves and/or others.

  • Perform pre-hospitalization screenings and crisis interventions for clients, as deemed necessary to fulfill client, agency, and community needs.

  • Travel, as needed, to provide crisis intervention and pre-hospitalization screenings within the areas served by the agency.

  • Work collaboratively with coworkers to facilitate the requests for assessments/services in the community.

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

  • LSW or LPC license in good standing with the State of Ohio

  • One year of relevant experience
